After getting engaged last year, the first thing that crossed my mind was "Yes! I get to marry the man of my dreams!" The second thing to cross my mind was "How am I going to do my makeup???"

Over the years, I've had quite a few people do my makeup. But I have yet to have someone actually achieve the look I want. I've even had a celebrity makeup artist who's worked with Heidi Klum, Lena Headey and Blink 182, to name a few, and the results still fell short. Not enough coverage here, a funky (and I mean really funky) eyebrow there, and in some cases WAY to much of, more like everything. Ultimately, I think it comes down to one thing...Most people do not listen. There is a line between what "you" think would look best and giving the client what they are looking for in the best way possible. Unfortunately, I feel that the latter is a dying breed...

Alas, because I've found it so difficult to find my dream makeup artist, I have made the decision to do my own makeup for my wedding...Annnnd I thought I'd take you on this journey with me! Whether you're planning a low budget wedding and are trying to cut costs, or if you're simply looking for new products to try, follow me on my voyage to find my perfect wedding day makeup!

Disclaimer: Not all products work for all skin types. Please refer to My Skin Guide to see info on my skin type. The results below are what have or have not worked for me personally.

I will be breaking my process into four categories: Face (primer, foundation, powder), Blush/Contour, Eyes & Lips. I will list the products I use, my wear time and my end of day results. Products may be used many times in different combinations. Note: I will not do any touch ups throughout the day, simply to determine the products true capabilities. Once I narrow down my selections, I will change the process to determine the best wedding day routine.
