My Non-Resolution Resolutions

I can't believe 2014 is over! So many wonderful things have happened for me this past year...planned an amazing wedding, finally moved out of our apartment into a beautiful home in Seattle, and reconnected with friends I haven't seen in years! But life continually moves forward, and I am welcoming 2015 with open arms. I have SO many things I want to accomplish this year and can't wait to get started!

My first attempt at refinishing furniture back in 2013. I felt amazing when it was all done!

#1   Spend less and save more. I hear my hubby in the background saying "finally!" :P A honeymoon, a house and travel oh my!

#2   Befriend and meet up with other beauty bloggers. There's nothing more that I'd like to do than make great friends with people that share in the passion that I have for beauty. For all of you bloggers out there, I know you feel me...those days when you're so excited to talk about a product or a new technique you finally mastered, and your friends/family have that glazed look on their face. I just hear them saying "Another one? Already?..."

#3   Rediscover. I feel like there are so many things I used to love that I have let slip by, both in the world of beauty and personally...

Fun Fact: Who here knows that white eyeliner was actually a 90's trend  started by Kevyn Aucoin? I remember my first white eyeliner was from Wet and Wild and it was horribly hard. It didn't glide on at all and left me looking disastrous...but I loved it :P

#4   Reduce stress. Stay organized and remember today is just one day of thousands in your lifetime. During the past six months, I have been on stress highway heading straight for it's headquarters...I always thought I handled stress well, but I knew it was finally taking it's toll the day my body began to lash out....insomnia, literally having to force myself to go to bed at 3am, missed periods (TMI?) and if that's ever happened to you, you'll know it triples your stress, and over all I've just felt bogged down.

#5   Indulge in a creative outlet. I used to do lots of crafts, draw, paint, sing, and play the guitar. Now I find that all I do is work and go to the gym. It's time to get back into the things I love and find that sense of accomplishment.

So, these are my goals. I've been working on them this past month and can already sense a change in the way I feel. The year is still young, and I can't wait to see what exciting ventures 2015 brings. Have you set any resolutions or goals for the new year? I'd love to hear about them! xo
